Roman Catholic Liturgical Calendar for 2011(abbreviated)

The feasts and solemnities listed in this calendar are taken from the Liturgical Calendar of the Bishop's Committee on the Liturgy, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, which is based on the official Roman Calendar. A more detailed, day-by-day calenadar for 2010 is availableby downloading the complete Roman Liturgical Calendar for the Diocese of the United States, published by the U.S. Council of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

Holy Days of Obligation for 2011:
All Roman Catholics of the United States are obliged to participate at Mass in 2010 on the following days, except as noted:

- All Sundays
- January 1 (Octave of Christmas, Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God)
- May 13 (Ascension of the Lord)*
- August 15 (Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary)
- November 1 (All Saints Day)
- December 8 (Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary)
- December 25 (Nativity of the Lord / Christmas )

*Regarding the Ascension of the Lord, the ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford,New York, Newark, Philadelphia, and Omaha have retained its celebration on the proper Thursday, while all other provinces have transferred this solemnity to the Seventh Sunday of Easter, May 16. If transferred, Thursday, May 13, is observed either as an Easter Weekday or the optional memorial of Our Lady of Fatima..
